MEET THE TEAM BEHIND NUTRITION EDUCATION
As of December 1st, we are fully staffed with five new AmeriCorps members leading a variety of classes.
Kate and Courtney are taking the lead teaching the Cooking Matters classes. Courtney teaches classes at the Food Bank, and Kate teaches the classes at off-site locations. Ben is in charge of the Student Nutrition and Cooking (SNAC) program for middle school students, and Marcie leads the Seed to Supper gardening classes. Murphy rounds out the team as the liaison between Nutrition Education and Food Distribution, offering tastings and recipe boxes for clients at the Community Kitchen Walnut Grove and Community Kitchen Fruit Valley food pantries. In addition to leading classes, each Nutrition Educator also serves as a second support person in each other’s classes.
