Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I qualify for food assistance?
Yes! If you could benefit from food assistance, you qualify. Food pantries do not check income, residence, or photo ID. Simply show up.

No paperwork is required. Some pantries may ask for basic information (like names or birthdays), but you can also choose to remain anonymous.
Do I need a photo ID?
No photo ID is required.
Will accessing free food affect my housing, SNAP, or other benefits?
No. Food pantries are nonprofit organizations, and receiving free food does not impact your government benefits.
Will accessing free food affect my immigration status?
No. We do not share information with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. You may choose to remain anonymous if that feels best for you.
Can I get food anonymously?
Yes. Let the pantry staff know you wish to remain anonymous, and they will honor that request.
How old do I have to be?
There is no age requirement. Anyone can pick up food.
What if I do not have a permanent address?

Which food pantry should I go to?
We recommend visiting the pantry closest to you. Use the map at the top of this page to find sites in your neighborhood. If you have questions, contact the pantry directly.
Can a friend or family member pick up food for me?
Yes. A friend or family member can pick up food on your behalf. They may be asked for basic information like names and birthdays of your household members, so it helps if they bring that information with them.
Do you deliver?
Delivery is available for individuals who are homebound or in need of an emergency food box. If you do not have someone who can pick up for you, Clark County Food Bank has volunteers who can bring a box of shelf-stable food to your home. To request delivery, email food@clarkcountyfoodbank.org or call 360-693-0939.
Can I go to more than one food pantry?
Yes. You are welcome to visit as many pantries as you’d like.
How often can I go to each food pantry?
Each location has its own schedule and guidelines. We recommend contacting the pantry directly for details.
Do I need to arrive early?
There’s no need to arrive before a pantry opens. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before closing to ensure you have enough time to pick up food.
What do I do when I get there?
Greet the first volunteer or staff member you see. They’ll check you in and guide you through the process.

I have allergies. Will there be food for me?
Every pantry offers a variety of food. Let a volunteer or staff member know about your allergies, and they will do their best to help you find what works for you.
Which pantries have fresh produce?

I do not have access to a kitchen. Will there be food for me?
