DISTRIBUTING FOOD: THE STEIN VISION CENTER
For over three months, the Community Kitchen—Walnut Grove Food Pantry has been operating in the newly opened Craig & Linn Dee Stein Vision Center, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The new space, designed with accessibility and efficiency in mind, is helping serve our neighbors like never before.
In October and November alone, the pantry made a significant impact, serving 4,258 clients and distributing nearly 180,000 pounds of food. These numbers are a testament to the vital role this pantry plays in addressing food insecurity in our community.
The additional warehouse space allows for even more food to be distributed to the community. The feedback from clients has been heartwarming, with many expressing gratitude for the welcoming atmosphere and improved experience the new space provides. From spacious areas for food distribution to more opportunities for client interaction and support, the Vision Center is truly fulfilling its purpose as a hub of hope and care.
We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve and uplift our community. With your continued support, we look forward to seeing this momentum grow and making an even greater impact in the months ahead. Together, we’re turning a vision into a reality—one meal, one family, one community at a time.
