Drive & Drop: Same Mission. New Way to Give.
For 40 years, Walk & Knock has been a December tradition in Clark County. Known as one of the largest local food drives in the nation, the annual effort has filled food pantry shelves and supported thousands of families during the holidays. This year, that legacy continues under a new name and structure: Drive & Drop.
The rebrand reflects how the community gives today. Instead of knocking door to door, neighbors are invited to bring their donations to designated drop-off sites across the county. It’s a simple change, but one designed to make donating more accessible while keeping the spirit of Walk & Knock alive.
Justin Wood, President of Drive & Drop shares, “The name may be new, but the heart is the same. Drive & Drop carries forward the legacy of Walk & Knock, neighbors helping neighbors. Our best years have always been the hardest ones, proving that when need is greatest, Clark County’s compassion is even greater. This effort takes year-round planning, the partnership of sponsors, the dedication of volunteers, and the steadfast mission of the Clark County Food Bank.
On Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., join us at 16 drop-off sites, or give anytime December 1–15 at collection barrels across the county at these locations: Schwab, Mcdonoald’s, Riverview Bank, and Cost Less Auto. Find more locations near you at WalkandKnock.org.”
Last year, this community-wide effort collected more than 250,561 pounds of food, providing critical support at the busiest time of year. Every pound was sorted, packed, and distributed by volunteers, turning generosity into meals for neighbors across Clark County.
Drive & Drop is just one of many ways our community shows up during the holidays. From school drives to workplace collections, every effort helps keep shelves stocked and families nourished.
