Brent Derocher Name Vice President

Brent Derocher, Vice President of Operations

Clark County Food Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent Derocher as Vice President of Operations, marking the next chapter in his eight-year journey shaped by steady growth, hands-on leadership, and deep institutional knowledge.

As Vice President, Brent will work closely with President Emily Straw, the Board of Directors, and senior leadership to support organizational strategy, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. Derocher shared, “I’ve always wanted my work to be rooted in caring for my community. Seeing the care shown every day by donors, partners, staff, and volunteers is what makes this role meaningful and motivates me to turn that care into impact.” His experience across multiple levels of the organization brings a rare and valuable perspective to leadership, connecting day-to-day operations with long-term vision.

Brent joined CCFB as an Operations Apprentice, working directly in the warehouse alongside staff and volunteers to ensure food reached neighbors across Clark County. That front-line experience grounded his understanding of the organization’s mission and the systems required to carry it forward.

Over time, Brent’s role expanded as he helped strengthen operations across the organization. He became a leader at the organization, improving internal processes, supporting collaboration across teams, and advancing technology that allows the food bank to respond more effectively to rising demand. His leadership has supported staff, volunteers, and partners through periods of growth and change, always with a focus on reliability, clarity, and care.

“Brent’s leadership reflects what’s possible when people are given room to grow and lead with purpose,” shared Emily Straw. “His understanding of our work, from the warehouse floor to IT systems to program partners to strategic planning, strengthens our ability to serve the community.” Brent’s appointment reflects CCFB’s commitment to investing in people, cultivating leadership from within, and honoring the experience that comes from doing the work.

We are grateful for his continued dedication and look forward to the impact of his leadership in the years ahead.
