Don Young Leads the Charge to Stamp Out Hunger in Clark County
Every May, communities across the country unite to combat hunger—starting right at their mailboxes. The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger food drive, held annually on the second Saturday in May, has collected nearly 2 billion pounds of food since its launch in 1993.

As the days grow colder and the need for assistance rises, we are thrilled to share the incredible success of this year’s food drive season! Thanks to the compassion and dedication of our community, 60+ unique food drives—including the highly anticipated Walk & Knock—came together to collect more than 400,000 pounds of food for those in need.

On Saturday, December 1, tens of thousands of residents throughout Clark County filled grocery bags with food and left them outside their front doors during the annual Walk & Knock food drive. If you participated in Walk & Knock – either as a volunteer or as a food donor – then that means you participated in the nation’s largest, one-day community food drive. You made history!
Turkey Trot participants help raise 150,000 meals on Thanksgiving morning
Enjoying a HUGE turkey dinner is time-honored tradition for most families on Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving is a holiday that centers on food, we think it is the perfect opportunity to host an event to help people who simply don’t have enough food. And this year, Clark County Turkey Trot was a huge success, thanks to friends and supporters like you.
Clark County Food Bank Raises Enough Funds to Provide Over One Million Meals
On Friday, September 14, 2018, Clark County Food Bank hosted their 7th annual Taste & See auction fundraiser. This year’s Taste & See raised over $291,489, which translates into 1,164,000 meals for residents in need throughout our community. This was Clark County Food Bank’s most profitable fundraiser to date.
