Clark County Food Bank Raises Enough Funds to Provide Over One Million Meals

Every time an auction item was bid above $2,000, confetti was shot out of an air cannon. This fun antic helped keep the mood exciting, the prices high, and the guests laughing.

On Friday, September 14, 2018, Clark County Food Bank hosted their 7th annual Taste & See auction fundraiser. This year’s Taste & See raised over $291,489, which translates into 1,164,000 meals for residents in need throughout our community. This was Clark County Food Bank’s most profitable fundraiser to date.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion demonstrated by everyone who participated in this year’s Taste and See,” says Alan Hamilton, President of Clark County Food Bank. “We don’t view this event as simply a successful fundraiser, but we see it as a snapshot of how our community rallies together and cares for neighbors who don’t have enough to eat.”

The immense community support was showcased by the 31 event sponsors, 135 auction donors, 250 guests, and an army of volunteers who helped make Taste & See a reality.
