Leadership Spotlight: Welcoming New Board Members

CCFB welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors. Together, they add leadership shaped by experience, community connection, and a shared commitment to food access.

Robert Weaver brings decades of experience addressing food insecurity, including over 29 years of leadership work with Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Portland Council. His background in finance, human resources, and the food industry offers a practical understanding of stewardship, systems, and partnerships that support reliable food distribution.

Reuben Cottingham brings over six years of nonprofit leadership experience across development and communications. Currently with Akin, one of CCFB’s partner agencies, Reuben offers perspective rooted in close collaboration with communities. His previous work with Brown Hope further informs his commitment to storytelling, relationship building, and equity-centered approaches.

Our Board of Directors conducted a targeted recruitment effort to bring both Robert and Reuben onto the board, specifically to add critical skills and expertise that strengthened and balanced our leadership.

We are excited for growth ahead.
