Opening Our Doors: Celebrating Community and Impact

At Clark County Food Bank, we believe the best solutions are built with our community, not for our community. That is why we regularly open our doors for Community Dinners: opportunities to share a meal, build relationships, and have honest conversations about hunger, food access, and the work ahead.
These gatherings bring together volunteers, partners, supporters, neighbors, and community members to learn from one another. Guests tour the food bank, hear about current initiatives, ask questions, share perspectives, and help shape the future of our work. They are an important way we remain transparent, accountable, and connected to the people we serve alongside every day.
"Our Community Dinners remind us that everyone brings a unique perspective and a shared commitment to building a stronger community," said Alyssa Pfeiler, Development Coordinator. "Some guests are visiting for the first time, while others have partnered with us for years. Every conversation helps us better understand our community and strengthens the relationships that make this work possible."
The conversation doesn't end when the evening is over. It continues through the partnerships, ideas, and shared commitment that help create a healthier, more food-secure Clark County.
