When the right tools align with the right mission, impact grows. That’s exactly what’s happening with Vivery—a digital platform helping individuals find nearby food resources—and Clark County Food Bank (CCFB).

For a glimpse of community in action, spend a Tuesday afternoon with Dave and Susan Lauderdale. As longtime volunteers at Clark County Food Bank (CCFB), they have become a vital part of daily operations, ensuring food reaches those in need with dignity and care.

With spring in full swing, we're planting the seeds for another abundant season at Heritage Farm! This year, all 11 acres will be in production, growing a vibrant mix of fresh produce, including corn, carrots, winter squash, cabbage, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, Ananas melons, pumpkins, eggplant, and green beans. Over the next few weeks, more than 2,500 plant starts will go into the ground, allowing us to begin harvesting earlier from our mixed veggie field.

When Marcie Walsh moved to Clark County in 2023, she found more than a new home—she found a mission. A serendipitous AmeriCorps role at Clark County Food Bank quickly led to a staff position in Nutrition Education. In that role she lead AmeriCorps teams, expanded programs like Seed to Supper and Cooking Matters, and developed recipe boxes for food pantry clients..

As the days grow colder and the need for assistance rises, we are thrilled to share the incredible success of this year’s food drive season! Thanks to the compassion and dedication of our community, 60+ unique food drives—including the highly anticipated Walk & Knock—came together to collect more than 400,000 pounds of food for those in need.

It is with great honor and excitement that I step into the role of President at Clark County Food Bank during a pivotal and meaningful time for this organization. During the past eight years, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside you - donors, volunteers, nonprofit partners, and an extraordinary staff and board team. I look forward to co-creating the future of Clark County Food Bank as we pilot and innovate new programs that alleviate hunger and its root causes in our community.

For over three months, the Community Kitchen—Walnut Grove Food Pantry has been operating in the newly opened Craig & Linn Dee Stein Vision Center, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The new space, designed with accessibility and efficiency in mind, is helping serve our neighbors like never before.

A food bank delivers food, right?

 Then why is Clark County Food Bank meeting clients at the grocery store?

 It’s all part of our cooking and shopping program that teaches clients how to make a grocery budget, read nutrition labels, and shop for healthy foods on a budget.

Clark County Food Bank is thrilled to announce Workplace Resource of Oregon has recently signed on as a five-year Hunger Alliance partner.

Hunger Alliance is a partnership created between Clark County Food Bank and local businesses to provide hunger relief within our community. Each Hunger Alliance partnership reflects the unique generosity of the business and unique opportunities for engagement and marketing from the food bank.

Over the holidays, we saw a record number of volunteers sign up, jump in, and help get food to those in need.

 We want to say THANK YOU to the thousands of volunteers who bagged food, boxed food, unpacked food, repacked food, dropped off food drive barrels, picked up food drive barrels, drove to grocery stores, sorted Fresh Alliance food, organized food drives, organized funds drives, answered phones, entered data, greeted guests, cleaned the facility, and so much more.

You probably didn’t realize it at the time, but this past winter YOU made history. Here’s how…

On Saturday, December 1, tens of thousands of residents throughout Clark County filled grocery bags with food and left them outside their front doors during the annual Walk & Knock food drive. If you participated in Walk & Knock – either as a volunteer or as a food donor – then that means you participated in the nation’s largest, one-day community food drive. You made history!

Enjoying a HUGE turkey dinner is time-honored tradition for most families on Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving is a holiday that centers on food, we think it is the perfect opportunity to host an event to help people who simply don’t have enough food. And this year, Clark County Turkey Trot was a huge success, thanks to friends and supporters like you.

On Friday, September 14, 2018, Clark County Food Bank hosted their 7th annual Taste & See auction fundraiser. This year’s Taste & See raised over $291,489, which translates into 1,164,000 meals for residents in need throughout our community. This was Clark County Food Bank’s most profitable fundraiser to date.

The Ed & Dollie Lynch Fund donated $130,000 and Vancouver Rotary Foundation donated $5,000 to Clark County Food Bank. The combined $135,000 will be used to purchase a new extra-large refrigerated box truck with a required liftgate.
